The Young Farmers Program at Wildwood Animal Therapy offers a peaceful, farm-based therapy and learning experience designed to nurture growth, confidence, and meaningful connections. Participants engage in hands-on activities with farm animals, gardening, and outdoor learning, all in a supportive and inclusive environment.
This program is ideal for children, teenagers, and young people looking to develop practical life skills, social confidence, and emotional wellbeing through immersive experiences in nature.
At Wildwood Animal Therapy, we believe that nature has the power to nurture. The Young Farmers Program allows participants to:
Connect with friendly farm animals in safe, supervised sessions

The Young Farmers Program is a hands-on, outdoor program, so participants should come prepared for a fun and enriching day.
Please bring:
Morning tea, lunch, and a drink of choice
Sturdy footwear (gumboots or safety boots)
Gardening or leather gloves
Sun hat, sunscreen, and weather-appropriate clothing
Comfortable old clothes or overalls
Raincoat if needed
We provide:
